Container installation
Container installation brings together placement planning, positioning and the agreed assembly operations. PITECO helps organise this work according to the intended use, container construction and site conditions. Before installation starts, the module layout, readiness of the base and access for unloading equipment need to be established.

Installing a single container
For an individual module, we discuss its position, the orientation of doors and windows, access routes and distances from existing structures. Consider daily use of the space: how people will enter, where services will run and whether maintenance access remains available. A placement drawing helps address these questions before the container arrives.
The container is placed on a prepared base whose suitability for the particular structure and site must be checked beforehand. The support arrangement and preparation work cannot be specified from a photograph alone. Ground conditions, levels, water drainage and loading need to be considered for the actual location.
Assembly and connection of modules
A project involving several containers requires an agreed layout and installation sequence. For a modular building, the discussion includes connections, circulation, joints and access to service points. Compatibility depends on the construction of the units: containers of different types should not be assumed to connect without assessment.
Assembly of a dismantled model differs from positioning a completed block. Clarify the delivery format, the assembly operations included and the components or materials that need to be available on site. Stairs, platforms and other equipment are listed separately in the proposal when they form part of the requirement.
Site preparation and practical arrangements
Before agreeing the installation date, check the approach width, bends, gates and working space for equipment. Tell us about overhead lines, trees, restrictions on delivery times and any special site conditions. Selection of unloading equipment depends on the weight, dimensions and actual placement position.
Electricity, water and drainage connections are agreed separately. Equipment installed inside a module does not mean the external services are ready. The proposal should define the work boundaries and who prepares the connections. Any need for design documentation or approvals is considered for the particular site and intended use.
If several contractors are working at the site, coordinate their sequence of work. Access and the installation area should be available when the container arrives. Establish who checks the base and receives the module to reduce the risk of postponed unloading or a second equipment visit.
How to arrange the work with PITECO
Start with a short description of your requirements: what needs to be done, where the site is located and when you need the result. Attach photographs showing the container, available access routes and the areas relevant to your enquiry. A layout, technical document or site plan can help clarify the scope. You can begin with the information you already have; any missing details can be discussed during the review.
After reviewing the enquiry, we agree the proposed scope and responsibilities. It is useful to establish which tasks PITECO will handle, what the customer will provide and whether other specialists are required. Materials, equipment, transport, site access and preparation are considered separately. This makes it easier to compare quotations on the same basis and identify associated costs before work starts.
Pricing is prepared for the individual requirement. Relevant factors may include container dimensions and quantity, existing condition, selected equipment, location and access conditions. The schedule is agreed after the scope, availability of materials and work arrangements have been established. An enquiry provides the basis for a proposal; sending it does not automatically confirm an order.
Before work begins, check that the proposal records the agreed items and exclusions. Appoint a contact person who can arrange access and answer practical questions at the site. On completion, review the result against the agreed scope and record any points requiring further discussion. Documentation, handover arrangements and subsequent support are agreed for the specific order.
Service questions
What must be ready before delivery?
The agreed base, a clear approach and a working area for the unloading equipment. A site contact and a confirmed module layout are also required.
Does installation include service connections?
Only when these are included in the agreed scope. External networks, connection points and the involvement of relevant specialists are discussed before work starts.
Information to include in your enquiry
Tell us the container type, approximate dimensions, number of modules, town or site address, preferred timing and contact details. Describe the existing situation and the result you want to achieve. If a specification is unknown, a photograph can help identify the information that still needs checking. Images on this page illustrate container solutions, equipment and delivery stages; the actual service scope is agreed individually.
