Design services for container projects
Container design services begin with the intended use of the space and the conditions at the site. PITECO helps develop layouts, module arrangements and equipment requirements within an agreed brief. This preparation connects container selection with practical use, delivery and installation before an order is placed.

From requirements to a technical brief
Explain whether the space is needed for staff, storage, sanitary facilities or a combination of functions. Include the expected number of users, equipment and operating pattern. Separate essential requirements from preferences that can be adjusted while choosing a solution.
The brief should identify the rooms, principal dimensions, entrances and relationship between different areas. If the project will develop in stages, outline future changes early. Expansion of a modular complex may require additional space, a different access arrangement or provision for utilities. Clear initial information makes it easier to compare options by function and scope.
Layout and placement on the site
Planning needs to consider circulation, door openings, furniture and maintenance access as well as the internal floor area. Windows and partitions should suit the intended use. Where several modules are involved, their connections and arrangement should be treated as one coordinated task.
Site information should cover the available area, vehicle access, supporting base and existing utilities. A dimensioned sketch and photographs can reveal constraints before delivery. Unloading conditions and access for lifting equipment should be considered during development, so the proposed arrangement can actually be installed at the selected location.
Documentation and approvals
The scope of design work is agreed separately. A layout proposal, equipment specification, fabrication drawings and documents for approvals serve different purposes and should not automatically be treated as one package. The quotation should identify the deliverables and the information the customer must provide.
The need for permits, engineering calculations and specialist involvement depends on the project and local requirements. These matters should be clarified before construction or installation. Changes after layout approval can affect equipment, cost and scheduling, so the final arrangement and subsequent revisions should be recorded in writing.
How to arrange the work with PITECO
Start with a short description of your requirements: what needs to be done, where the site is located and when you need the result. Attach photographs showing the container, available access routes and the areas relevant to your enquiry. A layout, technical document or site plan can help clarify the scope. You can begin with the information you already have; any missing details can be discussed during the review.
After reviewing the enquiry, we agree the proposed scope and responsibilities. It is useful to establish which tasks PITECO will handle, what the customer will provide and whether other specialists are required. Materials, equipment, transport, site access and preparation are considered separately. This makes it easier to compare quotations on the same basis and identify associated costs before work starts.
Pricing is prepared for the individual requirement. Relevant factors may include container dimensions and quantity, existing condition, selected equipment, location and access conditions. The schedule is agreed after the scope, availability of materials and work arrangements have been established. An enquiry provides the basis for a proposal; sending it does not automatically confirm an order.
Before work begins, check that the proposal records the agreed items and exclusions. Appoint a contact person who can arrange access and answer practical questions at the site. On completion, review the result against the agreed scope and record any points requiring further discussion. Documentation, handover arrangements and subsequent support are agreed for the specific order.
Service questions
Can discussions start without a completed design?
Yes. A description of the task, approximate dimensions and site photographs are sufficient for an initial discussion. The required information and development scope can then be established.
Do design services include every necessary permit?
Approvals and documentation are determined for the individual project and should be stated separately in the proposal. A layout drawing alone does not replace required permissions.
Information to include in your enquiry
Tell us the container type, approximate dimensions, number of modules, town or site address, preferred timing and contact details. Describe the existing situation and the result you want to achieve. If a specification is unknown, a photograph can help identify the information that still needs checking. Images on this page illustrate container solutions, equipment and delivery stages; the actual service scope is agreed individually.
